Check the survey with the Office of the Surveyor-General to confirm that the land matches its official records and boundaries.

Ask your property lawyer to investigate whether there are ongoing court cases or ownership disputes connected to the land.

If the seller refuses independent verification or tries to rush you into paying, walk away.

One careful decision today can protect your investment for many years.

Getting land papers is important.

But getting the right land with properly verified documents is even more important.

Many property losses happen because people stop after collecting documents instead of checking whether those documents truly protect the land.
